All sailers of Sarah are disembarking --- trip cancelled
Sorry to say, but Sarah has other ideas. Gerry and Brenda have gone home and Rob and Roz are putting Sarah back to bed for the time being. Engine problems, rigging problems....probably all things that can be fixed, but all things that must be fixed before embarking on such a voyage.
We are OUTA HERE!
It is 10:06 a.m. Wednesday April something or another....lol. Finally we cast off. Just as soon as I sign off the internet. Next port I will post lots of pictures.
Rob Goes up the Mast
Not only Roz gets to go for a ride.
Youtube videos of Sarah going in the water on Friday April 11th.
I put three very short videos on youtube showing Sarah going in the water on Friday April 11th. If you want to view them my userid on youtube is divechickdive and the search words I attached to the videos is 'sailingsarah'. Once you get one you can click on 'other videos by this user' and get any others I may post.
Sorry, I know there is a better way to do this, I just haven't been able to figure out how to make it an automatic link from here.
I am sure when Ian reads this he will send me an e-mail and tell me how to do it though!
A Bridge in the Keys
The Atlantic Ocean is on the right of the bridge and the Gulf of Mexico is on the left. Pretty cool. The whole drive through the keys is much like that...very thin piece of land.
Moving Sarah
Sarah first had to be moved from storage to the work area....wow, she is BIG!
Hard at Work
Sure looks hot in the engine room!
Bow Sprit is almost ready.
The boys are working so very hard getting her ready.....SOON!
Gerry's Bow Sprit
He is very proud of his work!
Up the Mast
Roz is hoisted up the mast for repairs -- all for naught, we were told NO CLIMBING MASTS in this here marina.
Sarah has her name
Now she is legal and tomorrow we put her in the water.
